Peanut Butter Chocolate Brownies Recipe

Ingredients

For the Brownies:

  • 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup cocoa powder (unsweetened)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Peanut Butter Swirl:

  • ¾ cup creamy peanut butter
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • 1–2 tbsp milk (optional, for consistency)

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare the Pan

    • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
    • Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Make the Brownie Batter

    • In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in the granulated sugar and brown sugar until smooth.
    • Whisk in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
    • In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  3. Make the Peanut Butter Swirl

    • In a small bowl, mix the peanut butter, powdered sugar, and melted butter until smooth. If the mixture is too thick, add milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, to thin it slightly.
  4. Assemble the Brownies

    • Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
    • Drop spoonfuls of the peanut butter mixture over the top of the brownie batter.
    • Use a knife or skewer to swirl the peanut butter into the brownie batter for a marbled effect.
  5. Bake

    • Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  6. Cool and Serve

    • Let the brownies cool in the pan before cutting into squares.

Tips:

  • For extra decadence, sprinkle chocolate chips or chopped peanuts over the top before baking.
  • Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a delicious dessert!

Enjoy your rich, fudgy peanut butter chocolate brownies! 🍫🥜
