Ingredients:

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined (tails on or off, as preferred)
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a hint of heat)
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine or chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Shrimp:

  • Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels. Season lightly with salt and pepper.

2. Cook the Shrimp:

  • Heat the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  • Add the shrimp in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes on one side, until pink and just starting to curl. Flip the shrimp and cook for another 1-2 minutes, or until opaque and fully cooked. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.

3. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:

  • In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of butter and let it melt.
