Ingredients (Serves 2-3):

For the Crispy Eggs:

  • 4 boiled eggs, halved
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cornflour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/3 cup water (adjust as needed)
  • Oil, for frying

For the Honey Chilli Sauce:

  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 small bell pepper, thinly sliced (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon red chili flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon vinegar
  • Salt, to taste

Garnish:

  • Sesame seeds
  • Chopped spring onions

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Batter:

    • In a bowl, mix all-purpose flour, cornflour, salt, black pepper, and red chili powder.
    • Gradually add water, stirring to form a smooth batter.
  2. Fry the Eggs:

    • Heat oil in a frying pan.
    • Dip the boiled egg halves into the batter, ensuring they are well-coated.
