A rich, indulgent dessert for all chocolate and peanut butter lovers!
Ingredients (Serves 8-10)
For the Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake:
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 ΒΎ cups granulated sugar
- ΒΎ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Β½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup whole milk
- Β½ cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup hot coffee (enhances the chocolate flavor!)
For the Peanut Butter Frosting:
- 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- Β½ teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- ΒΌ cup heavy cream (adjust for consistency)
For the Chocolate Ganache Drip:
- Β½ cup heavy cream
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
For Toppings:
- Chopped Reeseβs Peanut Butter Cups
- Chocolate shavings
- Drizzle of melted peanut butter
Instructions
1οΈβ£ Make the Chocolate Cake
- Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease and line two 9-inch cake pans.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add milk, oil, eggs, and vanilla, mixing until combined.
- Slowly mix in hot coffee (batter will be thin, but thatβs okay!).
- Divide batter between the cake pans and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool completely before frosting.
2οΈβ£ Make the Peanut Butter Frosting
- Beat butter and peanut butter until smooth.
- Add powdered sugar and salt, mixing well.
- Pour in vanilla and heavy cream, beating until fluffy.

- Heat heavy cream in a saucepan until hot but not boiling.
- Pour over chocolate chips, let sit for 2 minutes, then stir until smooth.

- Place one cake layer on a serving plate and spread peanut butter frosting evenly.
- Add the second cake layer and frost the top and sides.
- Pour ganache over the cake, letting it drip down the sides.
