Butter-Roasted Cauliflower Recipe

Butter-roasted cauliflower is a simple and flavorful dish where the cauliflower is caramelized to perfection with the richness of butter. It's a great side dish for a variety of meals.

Ingredients

(Serves 4)

  • 1 large head of cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (or regular paprika)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Freshly chopped parsley or thyme for garnish (optional)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for serving)

Instructions

1. Preheat the Oven

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

2. Prepare the Cauliflower

  • Remove the leaves and stem from the cauliflower, and cut it into small, bite-sized florets.

3. Season the Cauliflower

  • In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  • Toss the cauliflower florets in the butter mixture until they are well coated.

4. Roast the Cauliflower

  • Spread the seasoned cauliflower evenly on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
  • Roast for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the cauliflower is golden brown and caramelized on the edges.

5. Serve

  • Remove from the oven and transfer to a serving dish. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley or thyme, and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese if desired. Serve warm.

Tips

  • Even Roasting: Make sure the cauliflower florets are evenly spaced on the baking sheet to allow for even roasting and caramelization.
  • For Extra Crispiness: You can broil the cauliflower for the last 2-3 minutes of cooking to get an even crispier texture.
  • Flavor Variations: Add a squeeze of lemon juice or sprinkle with crushed red pepper flakes for a different twist.

This Butter-Roasted Cauliflower is an easy, flavorful dish that's perfect as a side or snack! 🧄🧈
