Baked Potato Wedges

These crispy baked potato wedges are seasoned to perfection and make a fantastic side dish or snack. They're easy to prepare and require just a few ingredients!

Ingredients:

  • 4 large russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika (smoked or sweet)
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:

    • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent the wedges from sticking.
  2. Prepare the Potatoes:

    • Wash and scrub the potatoes well to remove any dirt. Leave the skins on for extra texture and flavor.
    • Cut each potato in half lengthwise, then cut each half into 3-4 wedges, depending on the size of the potatoes.
  3. Season the Wedges:

    • Place the potato wedges in a large bowl and drizzle with olive oil.
    • Add the garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Toss the wedges well to evenly coat them in the seasoning mixture.
  4. Arrange on Baking Sheet:

    • Arrange the seasoned potato wedges in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they don’t overlap. This will help them cook evenly and become crispy.
  5. Bake the Potatoes:

    • Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, flipping the wedges halfway through cooking. The wedges should be golden brown and crispy on the outside, and tender on the inside.
  6. Garnish and Serve:

    • Once baked, remove the wedges from the oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley for a burst of color.
    • Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauces, such as ketchup, sour cream, or ranch dressing.

Tips:

  • For extra crispiness, soak the potato wedges in water for 30 minutes before baking. This helps remove excess starch.
  • You can customize the seasoning to your taste by adding chili powder, Italian seasoning, or grated Parmesan cheese.
  • These wedges also work well as a side for burgers, grilled meats, or a fresh salad.

Enjoy these Baked Potato Wedges for a deliciously crispy and flavorful treat!
