Sugar Free Hot Chocolate | Recipe Hub 97
Sugar Free Hot Chocolate
Ingredients:
- 2 cups milk (any kind - whole milk for creamier cocoa, almond milk or oat milk for dairy-free)
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1-2 tablespoons granulated sugar substitute (such as erythritol, stevia, monk fruit sweetener, or a blend)
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Optional toppings: whipped cream (sugar-free if desired), sugar-free marshmallows, cocoa powder for dusting
Instructions:
In a small saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it's warm but not boiling. Stir occasionally to prevent scalding.
Once the milk is warm, whisk in the unsweetened cocoa powder, sugar substitute, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Continue to whisk until the cocoa powder and sugar substitute are completely dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
Taste the hot chocolate and adjust the sweetness to your liking by adding more sugar substitute if desired.
Once the hot chocolate is heated through and well mixed, remove the saucepan from the heat.
Pour the hot chocolate into mugs and top with sugar-free whipped cream, sugar-free marshmallows, or a dusting of cocoa powder if desired.
Serve immediately and enjoy your sugar-free hot chocolate!
This recipe allows you to enjoy a comforting cup of hot chocolate without the added sugar. Feel free to customize it further by adding a dash of cinnamon or nutmeg for extra flavor, or a splash of sugar-free flavored syrup for variety.
