Easy Greek-Style Frappe Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 teaspoons instant coffee
- 1-2 teaspoons sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1/2 to 3/4 cup cold milk (dairy or non-dairy)
- Ice cubes
- Optional: a splash of cold water to top off
Instructions:
Combine Coffee, Sugar, and Water: In a shaker or a jar with a tight-fitting lid, add the instant coffee, sugar, and 1/4 cup of cold water.
Shake Vigorously: Shake the mixture vigorously for about 30 seconds to 1 minute, until it becomes very frothy and the coffee granules are dissolved. Alternatively, you can use a milk frother or a blender for this step.
Prepare the Glass: Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
Pour the Frothy Mixture: Pour the frothy coffee mixture over the ice cubes.
Add Milk: Pour cold milk over the frothy coffee mixture in the glass. The amount of milk can be adjusted based on how strong you like your frappe.
Top Off (Optional): If you prefer a lighter drink, you can top off the frappe with a little more cold water.
Serve: Stir gently and serve immediately with a straw.
